Hi guys

My wife has decided to change network but she wants to keep her number she has already and my mother inlaw wants to take over my wife's contract but keep the same number she has. How do we go about doing this?

They both need to get their respective PACs.

Process is the same for all networks Guide: How to get your PAC [June 2021 Update]

Your MIL will need to apply to O2 for her own contract as it isn't possible to take over someone's, but your wife's will be cancelled when she ports out her number anyway, so will no longer exist.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

It's just the same.

You just need the PAC for the number you want to port out.
