After priding myself on never getting caught on a scam I let my guard down for a moment and instantly regretted it.
Had a call to offer me 20% discount which should have been an instant red flag and within minutes I stupidly did the thing I knew never to do but found myself doing it anyway. Almost 1.5 seconds after doing it I realised what was about to happen but too late. I'm now on a new tariff and awaiting an iphone delivery that I don't want.
I've reported it to the fraud team and changed password (did that immediatley after realising what I had done)
They seemed to be very relaxed about it all but I'm now on a mad tariff with a monthly charge for a phone that I plan to return (Fraud team said to take it then call them rather than reject it and yes I called 202)
So my question (finally) is how long does it take to change the tariff back to the original tariff I was on or should I call again and make sure the tariff is getting changed

Unfortunately it can take weeks.
Just keep on pestering customer services as much as you can.

@TheDaz You should also report this to the police: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
Make sure your bank is aware of what's happened, and change all your passwords, not just your O2 account. It's a pain, but it really is something you should do to protect yourself.
