Hi guys,
Firstly, a little unrelated, the live chat is as much use as a chocolate kettle.
Anyway, I'm soon to be a former Orange customer. I've had enough of their lies/cheats/etc. But that's a different story.
I have an almost brand new Galaxy S3 I'll be wanting to join O2 with, but I want 4G when it is available on O2 (whenever that is?). If I get a SIM only deal now, will I be able to upgrade to 4G as soon as it's available or will I need to wait until my contract renews?
Thanks!!

By then, there might be better coverage throughout the UK.

As far as the start price for sim only tariff goes its not that amazing, just matches EE.
Vodafone for £26 give you 2GB of data rather than 1 and 6 months Spotify or Sky Sports mobile.

That offer from Vodafone is likely time limited to try and attract people straight away. You'll find that the offers from all of the companies change all the time.
But I agree, that Vodafone offer would sway me to move to them if I wanted 4G

Exactly, I see no reason do dash into this, better to sit back and watch the coverage improve!
I'm puzzled that people would sign up to a network before it's even partly working.
