Hi,
In a chat with an O2 advisor yesterday I asked when O2 would be getting the LTE version of the S3.
He told me that the current S3 that O2 hold already has LTE "installed". That's not correct right?
He also told me that O2 will have 4G by end of March next year. And that any tariff I take now would automatically work on the 4G providing I had some kind of data bundle. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks.

Thanks for the answer.
So if I purchase the current S3 on O2 (i9300 I believe) it won't make use of the 4G network once live?
T-Mobile/Orange offer the LTE version (i9305) as a seperate to the current S3. I take it this one would?

You might also want to remember that O2's enhanced 3G will be faster than the 4G speeds that EE will initially offer, and that EE will only be available in 16 cities at the outset. (from a post by Bambino)

See, I'm thinking this will be a 2 year contract and that if 4G is rolled out nationally by the end of next year it makes sense now to get hold of a phone that will work on 4G once it's up and running.
It seems as though the LTE S3 has 2GB RAM and comes with Jelly Bean installed (I know the i9300 will get it soon).
I know the difference are probably quite subtle but when you know the phone release might be just around the corner it seems to make sense to wait.

I agree, better to wait until you see how the roll outs are working and what issues there are with the new networks.

But of course we all know how hard it is to wait given the prospect of a shiny new phone ...
