Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is not working only 4 months old now

My speakers are not working unless I turn on loudspeaker. Even my handsfree kit doesn't pick up sound.

So until I resolve this no phone call can be private. Any advice?

The problem might be related to the screen repair if they disturbed something? It's just a matter of sending the phone back under the warranty and await the report back. As I understand things sometimes Samsung use the same repair centre as O2.

Aww man.

I'll have to back everything up before taking it to the shop. Anyone got any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks MI5

Either use Kies or have a look at some of the back up apps on Play.... "myphoneexplorer" is a good one. Also make sure your back up and reset settings are ticked and sign in and back up to your Samsung account also. Copy files, photos and videos to your SD card and it shouldn't take more than 10 mins to restore your phone back to how it was. In reality, if they are just changing the speaker there shouldn't be any need to mess with the firmware on the phone, so it shouldn't be touched.

Thanks MI5,

I'll look into that later tonight. I actually just had it back from an insurance claim to replace the screen. As everything was fine before, they are picking it back up and looking into it.

I will still need to back everything up though. I should find my old SD card I used to have with my Samsung M8100. I think that's what it was called anyway. Smart(ish) phone large screen. It's like the great uncle of the Note2. I had it before my iPhone4 4 years ago.

& expect it to come back unrepaired due to water damage

I'd get in touch with Samsung directly for warranty repairs.
