Solved: SIM card not connecting

Just got a new cellular iPad and the SIM card which comes with it is not allowing any texts or calls to it. I have not even received any welcome to o2 texts ect. I am at a loss I have check all the iPad settings but it is the SIM card issue because if I put the sim in my iPhone also on o2 it does not receive texts or calls either. It says the call cannot he connected.

iPads can only send and receive iMessages, not normal sms messages, and you cannot make calls off the sim as it is data only.
