I’m trying to set up a monthly contract for a tablet and all was going well until it got to the credit check. I’m living in Northern Ireland but I lived in the Republic of Ireland up until last August. The credit check won’t let me put this address in so I can’t progress any further. Obviously with COVID going into the shop isn’t an option right now, and I’ll be in work all week so I don’t know if I’ll have time to try and set anything up over the phone.

Unless you have a UK adress for 3 years, you wouldn't pass the credit check anyway.

You may be allowed to pay a deposit as security though,

but you'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
