SIM Only Data Settings?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi. I was on a O2 Refresh contract but have paid off my device and changed to SIM Only. I have noticed since then that I am not getting notifications when out and about on 4G and web browsing isn't great either. Are there different mobile data settings for SIM Only compared to Pay Monthly? Is there somewhere that lists the latest settings for mobile data? I have tried texting the 2020 number with ACTIVE but comes back with an error message. Any websites I have found data settings on are from several years ago and not sure if they are the latest ones or not. My device is an iPhone. Thanks in advance.

The data settings are the same for both.

Some iOS updates can corrupt your network settings so a reset is recommended occasionally.

Just reset them in the settings and the phone will read the correct settings off the sim card.

Just to add your data setting should be iData.o2.co.uk

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

OK, thanks for letting me know. I have reset the data settings, updated the software and restarted the phone and it seems to be working a bit better now. Hopefully it stays that way!
