My contract with O2 is due to expire in the not too distant future and I can change it/upgrade, etc. I am on a sim only plan, happy with my current phone and do not want to change. However, I think I need to change my tariff. I do not use all of my data allowance and would like to pay less per month (well, I am from Yorkshire!) When I was talking to an O2 Customer Services staff member recently (about something else) she told me I could change my tariff and that I could choose the one that suited me best, even if it meant not paying as much, etc. She also said that I should call Customer Services rather than go into my local store as they had better offers. I was just wondering if anyone here had any idea of whether I can actually get a good deal, especially if I want to pay less: I know some networks might not be too keen on that, also does it make a difference whether I talk to Customer Services or go into the local store?
Thanks very much.

Not sure if it's still avaliable but I have a sim only 12 months, unlimited texts and minutes with 3gb data for what was £20/month but got a £4 loyalty discount for staying with o2 after speaking with retentions. Call 202, choose the option for leaving and see what they offer. Nothing lost.
