Re new number

Hi on 02 monthly and recently been getting threatening phone calls and texts previously had number change beginning of year,police involved re the calls etc now and advising new number if I have police incident number could I get number changed for free as can't afford nearly £40

Just get a free PAYG sim https://www.o2.co.uk/freesim/ and top it up with £10 then call cs and ask them to switch the number to your contract account.
You can do this with any other network sim too but you would need to get a PAC from a different network and port the number in.

Hi @Anonymous If you have already had one free number change I doubt O2 will allow another free one.

I suppose you could get a new sim and do a sim swap though....(unless anyone corrects me on this?)

Good advice as usually you are allowed one free new number then after that you would have to pay.

New sim costing maybe a pound from most retailers and get your tariff changed. Sorry about the malicious phone calls but do you not have a phone equipped to block numbers?

A top up is required first though by O2.
Vodafone will do it without a top up but I'm not sure how much they charge for sim cards....
