I would just like to say, I am disgusted at what I've just read. And is 100% proof that O2 were only thinking about profits with the non inclusion of the free Gear vr as advertised by Samsung themselves.

These are the terms to the, now, 50% off offer.

1. The  Promotion is open to UK residents over the age of 18
2. Provided you (hereinafter “you” or the “Participant”) complete a valid purchase of a Samsung S7 or S7Edge, (each a “Device”) from O2 Stores, Telesales or www.o2.co.uk on a 3GB or above O2 Refresh tariff you will be entitled to purchase the Samsung VR Goggles (“The Goggles”) for £40.00 subject to availability and while stocks last.
3. O2 Refresh terms and eligibility criteria apply. See o2.co.uk/terms.
4. You must purchase the Goggles in an O2 store, O2 Telesales or online at the same time as you purchase your Device.  Failure to purchase simultaneously with the Device will result in you not being eligible for the discount and if purchased separately you will have to pay the full price for the Goggles.
5. The Promotion will run in O2 stores, o2.co.uk and O2’s telesales only from 8th March – 13th April 2016(the “Promotion Period”). O2 reserves the right to extend or shorten the Promotion Period at any time. 

Therefore, anyone who preordered, will NOT be able to claim this promotion as your devices were already delivered when the promotion started and you did not buy Gear vr at same time.

So, NO, O2 did not listen, this was planned some time ago to screw over customers who pre ordered.

I am beyond incensed reading this @viridis. A family member got his S7 through O2 yesterday. He was moaning about not getting the VR headset. Due to the info posted on this thread I told him he could get them at £40

He was delighted and planning to ring O2 today. I will now phone him and tell him I was wrong!!!!
