I received a message from +447468512670 advising me O2 were unable to process my latest bill and to please click on the link to update my payment information. I didn't click on the link but logged into my O2 account. O2 sent me a code through my phone. The boxes for my card number on my O2 account was empty so I autofilled them. I thought it strange that I had to fill in the boxes when O2 already have my card details. Strange further, for the next message told me not to use autofill but to manually input my card details. This I done and the transaction went through. It is only today I learnt through FB there's a scam going round. My question is does anybody know what happens if someone clicks on the link, has anyone done it. The FB caution is saying your bank account gets emptied. I often get messages from O2 so I could have easily in innocence clicked on the link. I think O2 should send out warning messages. I'm on here as chat lines are down owing to Covid 19.

You need to check with your bank and make them aware. Change all passwords too.

It should be ok as you went to My O2 and didn't click the link.
