I've just moved to O2 from GiffGaff and it looks like the process of porting my number over has started. My old SIM lost service at about 7am this morning, but the new SIM still has the number it was assigned and not my old number getting on for 7 hours later, despite several restarts of the phone. I only ask as when I've ported my number in the past it's been pretty quick from one SIM stopping working and the new one getting my old number. Is it expected to take as long as it has so far?

@Seabass78 The process can take 24 hours, but it's normally quicker than that. Keep rebooting your phone.

As is ever the case 10 minutes after I ask about this the port completed! Thanks for the help though.
