Porting and wrong number!

Hi

I recently ordered a new sim and in the process of creating the order I entered my wifes number wrong with a digit out. I didnt notice this until after the full order had gone through along with her PAC code. O2 assured me as did Lebara that the port-in would fail if one of these were incorrect but she has had an email to say that its been successful.

Does anyone know if the PAC code would pick up the correct number or not during the process?

@GordyH

A PAC is specific to a single number so it is impossible to port an incorrect number as the PAC will override it.

The actual phone number isn't required during the request process as the PAC details will include the correct number.

So, assuming the number has ported what number do you get when she phones you

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Thanks for the response. Not sure yet. She is at work so doesn't have access to her phone.

I have a different issue.  I ported in my family's 3 numbers correctly and against the correct PAC codes -  double checked 5 times - against the correct original SIMs and numbers.  Now, two of the Sims have been incorrectly allocated.

Trouble is that we are not in the same location and that makes changing with one another awkward.  Will check with O2 Support to see if they can help

I would be inclined to contact the O2 social media team @Qubits as they are based in the UK and are quite good at solving customer problems :-
