Hi

I’ve moved to o2 from Lyca. When I ordered my sim I gave o2 the pac code to transfer my number. Got the SIM card, popped it in and everything seemed fine. However my number has still not been ported and my number on Lyca was disconnected on Friday. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on at the moment. The temporary o2 number isn’t recognised if anyone calls it, I can call out but have no idea what number is showing and if anyone tries calling me on the number I’ve had for years they’re told the number is disconnected/out of reach.
Can anyone advise please? I’ve switched the phone on/off numerous times and been promised my number would be operational “from 6pm” every day since Monday.

@VickyH

Porting in to O2 is taking longer than normal these days. Of course we have had the weekend (where ports don't happen, as well as the Bank Holiday.

You need to persevere with O2.

Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

Thanks for the advice and warning - I have tried the customer services options recommended above and after 20 mins of hold music the line went silent, then I Was disconnected.  Grrrr.  Am starting to regret moving to O2 already!  How long on average is it taking to transfer numbers?  My previous provider did it super quickly and easily so I had not imagined it would be a problem

It should take 24 hours, but o2 can be slower than others.

If everything is going correctly, once the PAC has been given you should get a text to the number you wish to keep confirming the number is moving and the date. If you have not had this then the PAC has not been processed and you might need to submit it again.

See if this guide helps:

Guide: Migration & porting into O2

Alternatively you will need to keep trying to call, or use social media:
