Hi I recently when abroad, please can someone tell why I have been charged for calls to my phone that were never answered - I never answer any calls other than WhatsApp whilst away. I can’t stop people calling my number?

The way roaming has always worked across every network globally, is that if someone calls your number and it gets diverted back to Voicemail then its a chargable international call.. (this has been the case for 20+ years). 

Best thing to is to set voicemail to all calls before you leave, or turn it off completely Guide: All you need to know about O2 Voicemail 901
