Toby
Please can this request be forwarded to the relevant team. In response to some of your responses in other threads
This is affecting all users ios and android etc.
1 The solution of Tugo is not available at present to over 50% of client base (payg and business)
2 In fringe areas with partial 3g this will render any of those above no longer to select the 2g network and be uncontactable as no tugo.
3 increased battery usage as the phones still hunt for 3g in non 4g enabled areas when users only want 2g for battery life reasons and as in 2.
I hope this information will help o2 implement either a 4g/3g off switch or both options 4g off 3g off.

P.s. all that agree with this please comment

A new conspiracy theory has just dawned on me.....
In its 4g licence o2 has to provide the 98% coverage on 2g 3g and 4g so I guess it is not the removal of 2g conspiracy

Have to agree this should not have been removed.
Though I am mostly within greater London there are areas I visit with no data capacity and the 2G only option would definitely be of advantage there.

So glad I went sim free
I've always been sim free on O2, this affects me too on a Nexus 4 with a sim that's about a year old, it seemed to start about the time the KitKat update arrived from Google causing me to think that was the reason.

iPhone 5 and before users have it back, but 5S and above don't, which is totally wrong.
O2 are so far up their own backsides they take no notice and I hope many users ditch and find an alternative.
