Paying off contract

I just want to pay off my contract that ends in a few months as O2 has cancelled partnership with Carphone Warehouse and I want to get on a new contract with CW. Why is it so difficult to do this? There is no information on how much is left on your contract or how to pay it off. Been with O2 for 10 years, first with PAYG and now with my first Pay Monthly. Not been happy with the experience, I've been more confused than ever and I'm not the best with technology but I didn't think doing a simple task as paying off my contract would be so difficult I have been trying for weeks!

text INFO to 85075 to get details on any early termination fees that may be payable.
