It's not online yet, but Ofcom have released a statement saying O2 are not in breach of any regulations with respect to their most recent price increase.
That'll surely annoy a few keyboard warriors.
It's in the Mobile Today edition released on 7th Feb, so will probably be on www.mobiletoday.co.uk fairly soon.

It certainly is. I think the ombudsman's responses are telling - if you look at MSE (look for the thread by randomcurve) even complaints which go into very specific and informed legalese are getting the exact same boilerplate response as ones which aren't so fully formed like my own. I think it's clear that o2 and the ombudsman have already discussed the potential rush of complaints before the price hike and had negotiations to ensure all complainants of this hike get knocked back (thus saving o2 a couple of hundred quid to open a case, if those oft-quoted unsourced "it costs £300 to take a complaint to the ombudsman" quotes are accurate).
