O2 refresh - in store?

Anonymous

Hello All

I want to upgrade my phone early on O2 refresh.... I purchased my original contract online, however as my phone has died I need to get it replaced early + urgently.  So the question is, can I upgrade my online contract in an O2 store (i.e. tomorrow) via the refresh deal?

Many Thanks

Yes.

Have a good think about what phone and tariff will meet your needs, the monthly cost is within your means, and that its a long term commitment.

Have a play around with the working demo models instore before you make your final choice on handset.

Enjoy.

Where can I buy O2 Refresh?

From Tuesday 16 April, O2 Refresh is available to everyone exclusively in O2 shops. Existing customers eligible for an upgrade can do this over the phone soon. And later this year, new customers can buy O2 Refresh over the phone and everyone will be available to buy it online.

Thanks for your help.  So presumably if I take in my existing O2 account number, phone number etc... that is all the info I will need to do it? (Other than bank account / debit card etc...)?

Sorry to be a pain... but final question... Once i've gone into the O2 store and bought the phone/upgraded, will I be able to just put in my old sim and off I go, or will there be some kind of delay before it all works/the contracts go through?  Many Thanks for your patience!

If the phone you have now is using the same sized sim card as the new phone you will be good to go.

If not the o2 shop will have blank sim cards in stock and they will perform the sim swap for you.

It can take up to 24 hours to settle but can be quicker depending on how busy the network is.

Perfect, thanks.  My current phone uses a micro sim (xperia P) and i'm intending to get a Z1, so sounds like I will be ready to go straight away!?

You know.

I found it far too easy as I'm already an O2 customer. All I basically had to do was confirm my details, read the disclaimers and update my credit card details. I opted for an instore collection, so I never had to wait in until a delivery man turned up.

This was all done on the website. The only thing was I never arranged for a Micro-SIM for my new handset.

Indubitably true. Samsung S21 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra

Yes the Sony Xperia Z1 uses a micro sim.

Thanks - I had intended to upgrade online, but I cannot get the authentication code to do it as my phone has died (had an interesting converation with one of the O2 tech people tonight online).  In any event, I figured that going into the store would be the quickest way to get up and running on the same day without having to wait for a delivery.
