Today I got a call from someone claiming to be with O2 and offering to pay off my remaining contract due to the separation with Carphone warehouse. I hung up because it sounded too good to be true but I just wanted to check that it was a scam. Anyone know anything about this?

O2 were offering this a while back but have not heard of it recently.

Always best to check by calling upgrades yourself though, so you did the right thing.

Call 202 from your phone and say upgrade to get put through.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@MI5 @Methac just just to add to the above as I've just checked internally, this campaign is still going on to some extent so it does sound like a legitimate call you got (without seeing further details about the call). thumbsup
