My local O2 mast is down again.  It goes down every couple of months for 5 days at a time.  Any idea why?

We are all customers here. O2 doesn't give out information concerning faults on masts.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I have the same kind of issue.

Have you tried switching to 2G ?

Give your sim card a clean.

Unfortunately its a case of keep checking the service status and re boot your phone.

Hopefully things will improve with network upgrade to 4G which will

The mast being down is affecting all of the O2 phones in the house.  Messing about with the handset isn't going to make any difference.

You've had this at least 3 times in the last 3 years to my knowledge.

Let's hope they can get it to stay fixed this time! wink

Well i'm stuck with O2 because when the mast is working it has the best signal, its just annoying when it goes down.

I have a pretty good internet connection at home.  It would be nice if my smart phone seamlessly roam between gsm and wifi...

I didn't know about TU Go, I just gave it a go and it does let me make phone calls over wifi. It's not as seemless as i'd like, but it is very handy, thanks.

The mast is back up now

Tu Go isn't perfect but it can be a help.
