O2 in Droitwich (WR9)

Anonymous
Not applicable

O2 network down in Droitwich for nearly a week now. Any phone working on the O2 network (O2, Tesco, GiffGaff) almost totally useless. No signal (well, intermittently one bar, but usually no network at all) for calls or Data. Contacted them via live chat - not at all interested. Contacted CEO - not very interested but have written again in the hope that they would accept that they must have someone within the company with some idea of when service is likely to be resumed!! When my contract is finished I'll be off to EE I think..........

@Anonymous you have already posted your concern on your own thread. Please keep to the thread detail so others can answer you on here.

This thread ended up being specifically about 4g roll out as neither the OP nor most of us knew the rollout plans. Are you in a 4g area?

Interestingly no but the network team said 4g would be rolled out here soon. They still couldn't explain the fault for the last month though.

Probably replacing their equipment for 4G.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

In which case @Anonymous could actually end up with a far superior network than expected. During the upgrades there will be disruption. That is the trade off. We want 4g so we have to take short term pain for long term gain.

Its inevitable unfortunately.
My signal in Cov went intermittent for a month whilst 4G was been installed in the area I was in.

Vodafone have arrived in Devon this week but o2 haven't even got Bristol covered. Vodafone seem to be getting going a bit quicker than o2.

Surely O2 would have told me during my many chat sessions and phone calls if that were the case?

We're only guessing (based on experience) but we don't know for sure - I suspect CS haven't been given any info though....

CS from our experience does not advise if 4g is being installed. As MI5 says, they probably don't even know until the coverage checker is updated.

When 4G was installed in my area it was on the status page which shocked me but it was definitely published that 4G was being installed...
