O2 in Droitwich (WR9)

Anonymous
Not applicable

O2 network down in Droitwich for nearly a week now. Any phone working on the O2 network (O2, Tesco, GiffGaff) almost totally useless. No signal (well, intermittently one bar, but usually no network at all) for calls or Data. Contacted them via live chat - not at all interested. Contacted CEO - not very interested but have written again in the hope that they would accept that they must have someone within the company with some idea of when service is likely to be resumed!! When my contract is finished I'll be off to EE I think..........

Well @Anonymous  you appear to have 'gone round the houses to come back again' wink

That list you provided from Tesco sim only tariffs makes interesting reading. It does not support my brand new Note 3.....:smileysad:

I will stick with O2 then...

Signal is all over the place - I moved from EE 6 mths ago, but O2 has joined them in poor 3G and pitiful signal strength on 4G if you are more than 500m from the new green masts 😞

@Anonymous are you referring to the area specifically in the thread i.e. Droitwich?

Hi piperdog123 , absolutely - ever since they started the 4G rollout the 3G has suffered. O2 said there would be some disruption, but are now claiming all is perfect indoors and outdoors 😞 Using Network Signal Info Pro I can see which towers I'm connected to and for a while today could only get Edge from one towards Ombersley 😞 Using Galaxy S5. I'd it's any consolation my Wife is still on EE and that's worse !

I'll worry about 4G coverage if/when I upgrade. My 4S does me fine fer now.
By the way, good 3G signal all week here on Berry Hill Ind Est!! Well done, O2. Let's see if it lasts, this time!
Going back to 4G coverage in WR9, it looks like it is only the 'village' centre which has coverage, & the mast which serves Berry Hill area is still not transmitting 4G......or O2 haven't updated the coverage map, of course...!

I get 4G where I live in Droitwich (not in the town centre), although it drops out occasionally. However at least I now get 4G when it's available with my O2 SIM in my LG G3!! Old number ported over with no problems - happy at last (for a while anyway.......):smileyhappy:

Good to know @Garyilka. As the network modernisation programme continues across the country you should see further improvements. There may be some infilling where areas struggle too.

But please give a thought. 4g in most areas is great but there are large swathes of the country that only have 2g. Please think about us 😆😆😆

Same issue in L40 for a month. O2 don't seem capable of restoring service.
