O2 being undercut by Virgin

I’m getting to that time again where I have the option to upgrade my Apple XR and move onto another plan which offers more data than the plan I’ve been on for the past 3 years.  I quite fancied the iPhone 13 unlimited data plan. However I had a quick check on the virgin site and I can get the same plan with the same phone for £20 a month less! Has anyone managed to get a price match over the phone with O2 or am I better waiting till August and just cancelling my o2 and sign up with Virgin?

o2 dont price match.

2 Completely different networks Virgin Mobile runs on Vodafone as an MVNO, and so charge less as they dont run there own network but a dodgy network infrastructure using belgian sim cards roaming with UK numbers on the Vodafone Network...  (there is no guarantee Virgin Mobile will still exist in August).

o2 run their own network, and are a true UK network, you are free to pay off your contract and move to Virgin Mobile but you will lose any Volt benefits.
