Does anyone find O2 are aggressive when chasing for payments? I have been a loyal O2 customer for a number of years and rarely had any issues, since upgrading under the O2 refresh scheme, I've had nothing but problems. Firstly O2 seperated the bill into two different payments, I pay my O2 bill via standing order and this caused no end of problems, resulting in my phone being cut off. Resolved after several arguements and eventually they gave me my two account numbers. I sent a payment on the 23rd June, one for airtime and one for phone and they've loaded up one but the other is yet to appear and my phones been cut off again. No one can ring me either, seems very bulling to prevent all calls whatsoever when I am dealing with my bank to find out why the payment seems to have got lost, despite being sent to the same account details. I had no warning, literally just cut it off, because I know how aggressive O2 are, I knew they had cut it off.

Since moving to refresh I have also fell foul of this, previously O2 were flexible, I did, quite often pay late.
I can already hear some saying, then you'll get cut off, however, at that time, staff could see that bills were always paid, albeit sometimes late. rarely however did I get cut off, loyal customer for years and all that.
This I thought was fair, afterall if you think about it, even if it's paid late, you have paid for a months service, by cutting you off, you are not getting the entire service you have or will pay for.
Since going to a refresh tarrif, this has changed and O2 have got very strict.
I'd hardly say aggresive is the right term, maybe inflexible would be better.
I'm guessing the reason for this is that on the refresh tarrif, the phone part is a credit agreement and as such has to be managed as a credit agreement with stricter rules.
when my phone is off(usually only a day or so) we generally joke about how cheeky it is of O2 to actually expect payment, every month as well, bleeping liberties I tells ya.

I'm not going to attempt to explain why anyone else would "start throwing qualifications", but as I suspect your question was aimed sqarely at me, I can say why I mentioned my own education and experience.
My Logic was not only questioned, but challenged. I have spent my life both inside, and outside of various eductional institutes, and workplace, practicing what are essentally specialisations of the Art of Logic. My credibility in matters of Logic are best and most reasonably demonstrated by my choice of career, and education. My educatioal choices were a succinct way of demonstrating these.

Thank you for clarifying all of the above @Anonymous
I could, if so inclined, tell you that I have a long list of qualifications.
However, none of these are of any help to me when I am trying to master the art of mobile phone technology.
I also have limited knowledge about the workings of O2 and the services they provide. This is why this forum is of great help to me.
I can put 'all my qualifications' to one side and listen and learn from the experts.
I appreciate everything they teach me. Advice and support is given freely and is drawn from a vast wealth of knowledge.
I am an expert in my own field. My expertise has very little relevance to this forum

Everyone is equal on a public forum, be they someone on work experience with no qualifications or some achedemic with a doctorate or a degree in psychology.
Logic to one may be quite illogical to another but I am swayed by reason not by degrees of education and public standing.
Some of the most respected people in the land come out with complete and utter tosh at times which may be perfectly logical in their own mind.

I do love your posts @jonsie and as they days pass I can understand more fully your admirable designation.
What a wonderful paradox you have thrown into the mix - the notion that logic can be illogical! If that be true then logic is not logic at all. And if it is not logic it cannot be illogical. When we refer to something as illogical what we are saying is that the stated premises do not lead to the stated conclusion. In practice what many people actually mean when they say something is illogical is that it is wrong in fact.
The word logic is in many cases misused and as you rightly imply many "arguments" set out by well educated people (as well as by the less well educated) are not sound in terms of proper logic.
