Hi,

Is there any way to get credit back onto my bill. I had activated O2 Travel while on a cruise, while docked in the Bahamas but unfortunately I was only online for 5/10mins then could not connect again. I tried and even received a message thru the O2 App to send a SMS..couldn't do that either. I had to wait until the next day to go on-line and check-in for my flight home.

I know that when activated it lasts for 24 hours.

TIA

O2 Travel costs £6 per day for each day it is used.

That usage can be as little as a simple text message etc.

If your phone connected to a local network then the charge will be correct.

BTW I hope you did not connect to the Ship's network or you may be in for a shock

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Gerrymac66

The Terms & Conditions mean that you will not be entitled to a refund in these circumstances, but there is nothing to stop you asking O2 to make some sort of ex-gratia reimbursement to you.

You need to contact O2. Unfortunately, this is a customer to customer community so we cannot access your account.

You can message O2 on social media :-

Facebook : https://o2uk.co/O2CFB

X (previously known as Twitter) : https://o2uk.co/O2CTW

Instagram : https://o2uk.co/O2CIG

The social media team are good at solving problems so if you ask nicely, you might be in with a chance ! 👍

A complete schedule of how to contact O2 is in :-

Hi,

No way did I connect to the ships, Wifi...it was the price of a day excursion 😲😲

I know if you trigger data you will be charged but where I was there was no signal for most of the day.

Ta for the reply.

It's not just data. The phone handshaking with a network will trigger it within seconds of switching on your handset.
