O2 Open, How does it work?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all,

My employer is part of the O2 open scheme, and as such I can get a 30% reduction on plan costs

What I am unsure about is how it works!

Is the offer available for any phone & tariff or is it just ones that they want you to have?

I know iPhone have delays added to them after launch, and thats fine with me as I'm an Android man, but do they only allow certain handsets on the offer or are you able to just go in store as usual, pick up a phone you like and then apply the discount after?

If I can choose whatever phone I like then this is a decent offer but if I am forced into what they are offering then it may not be as good as it seems...

There is no restriction - all phones are available in the offer. The discount only comes off the airtime (less VAT) portion of your bill.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi and welcome.

Yes the iPhone 5s and 5c did have a delay due to launch but that's been lifted now I believe.

Thanks for the info

When it states the "adviser will help you choose" is this a way of saying they show you what you can have on this offer though?

I know what phone I would like but don't want to waste time going in store only to be told that I can choose from handset X,Y or Z on this deal

I cannot see a stipulation and I think it means help you choose the right deal ie Refresh tariff and handset, apart from recently released iPhones and that you actually qualify for the discount.

If your uncertain then give cs a call on 202 or From a landline 0844 809 0202 > 5p or ring your local O2 store to request further clarification for your peace of mind.
