O2 Just lost a longtime business customer. THE WORST service I have ever experienced!

I cannot comprehend what has happened to O2. They cannot do ANYTHING properly and it is beyond a joke now. My contract expired a couple of months ago. A guy from O2 has been regularly calling me to try and sell me a new phone and contract and today we spoke for over 30 minutes about me leasing a new iPhone 6 plus. The guy then emailed me over 2 quotes for phones. On both quotes he got my address totally wrong, the quote had the wrong phone and both quotes were significantly more expensive than what was advertised online.

I then called back to try and get it resolved. 15 minutes on hold just to speak to sales! Then I was told I had come through to the wrong department (??) Then left on hold for another 15 minutes before being cut off. Phoned back one last time. 20 minutes on hold this time and the guy who I spoke to was incredibly rude, couldn't help me at all and wouldn't let me speak to anyone else.

Instead of me leasing a phone you can now go to hell. I have no idea how O2 is still in business if this is how they operate but I shall be switching to EE now. I would urge everyone else to do the same. O2 is dead.

Any idea how to get straight through to someone who can cancel my whole account? Preferebly without having to wait for 20+ minutes listening to crap music and then have to speak to some brain damaged child with all the social graces of a brick?

Only way is by the way you've probably been using. http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

You can also take a look at this link: http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/m-p/566774/high...

If you get through to CS you can ask for your PAC, if you want to keep your number. You can then give the PAC to EE, or whichever network you decide to go to. Once the PAC is activated it will automatically cancel your contract. Do not cancel your direct debit until you have received a final bill from O2.

Edit: I've just looked at your post again. As you have been having a problem involving leasing a phone, if you're a business customer you might want to take a look at this link: http://www.o2.co.uk/business/contact-us which is different from the original contact link I posted.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Hi

What a mess.

I appreciate your frustration with this.

We know how difficult it is getting through to customer services due to recent product launches. So after getting through to drop the ball again is poor.

Perhaps put your issues here http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain and see if they can do anything for you.

I assume up to now they have provided a good service and signal.

Please check out alternative networks by using Payg SIM cards to make sure they give good signal where you live, commute and work.

Good luck.

If required, live chat can also provide you with your pac.

Thank you for all the advice. I'm just going to get my code and get the new phone from another provider. Regardless of network coverage I can't deal with a company that can't even handle a sales call. I've already had frequent bad customer service from O2, for example I phoned up to give them my new home address, they took the correct details from me but then somehow change my address on their system to another house I had lived at years ago. They have ridiculous hold times and when you do manage to speak to someone they ALWAYS make some mistake which results in inconvenience for me. I'm done with it all now.

That is of course your prerogative.

However hacing a new phone with good allowances are of little use with no Network Coverage.

Hope all goes ok.

Check out EE. They've picked up their game just recently.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Funny thing, I've been looking at altermatives unless 4G becomes more available with O2. 3G is OK, however 4G would be better really.

I tried a 4G PAYG SIM from EE and it seemed to be a good reception. However I'm not so sure if I quite trust them completely yet.

Indubitably true. Samsung S21 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra
