I'm a pay monthly customer with an ancient Nokia that is starting to pack up on me. I'm not due an upgrade and as I only use my mobile for phones and texts I just want a simple and cheap replacement. The Nokia 100 looked perfect, but when I went to my local store the lad there wouldn't sell it to me at the advertised price of £12.99 as I'm on a pay monthly contract, so couldn't be given the 'free' credit. My best option seems to be to bypass o2 entirely and get one off ebay or from Argos or somewhere - this seems slightly crazy to me, am I missing something? Thanks

Hi Ricky and welcome to the forums.
Unless the process has miracoulousy changed recently;
If you are a Pay Monthly customer and your phone is lost or damaged you can take a Pay & Go phone at the advertised price without purchasing a SIM card / topup.
