Hi there I need some help to get my new sim up and running. I have no service currently so can not access my o2 app or log on online due to needing a text conformation for a code. Can you please help

You will need to contact O2 for that, @AJ22 - Guide: How to find help & contact O2 has all the ways. Or take phone and SIM into an O2 shop, with some photo id, and let them do the job for you.

@AJ22 To add to the advice from @pgn, if you can't get to an O2 store and want to call, download Skype to call for free on 0800 032 1402. Guide: A Guide to Skype
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
