New customer charging policy and credit check

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this subject.
I purchased a phone last night on contract,received all the documents etc but have been charged nearly £30 upfront already and don't know if I've even passed credit check!
Is this normal practice because I don't know any other provider that does this without telling you you've passed or been declined for the contract?
Appearantly my order is under review so when will I find out if I'm successful and if not how do I get my money back?

It's a great phone @Anonymous and I don't want to sound at all negative but at this time of year......I'm sure you understand what I am trying to say? It wouldn't hurt anyway to be chasing O2 up about the status of your order and you could also ask at the same time about the stock? :smileywink

@Cleoriff that's why I phoned them 15 minutes ago lol and @Anonymous sure will,wanted the razor phone but passed then failed credit check with 3(figure that one out) so I like phones that not everyone has tbh mate and always fancied trying a one plus

It's a nice phone and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. 

As for showing in stock on the website, O2 don't have a live stock system and even customer service don't know if a phone is actually in or out of stock. 

..... except for iPhones which we all know are invariably out of stock. 😉

I think the OP will be very lucky putting an order in as late as this and hoping to receive it before the end of this week.

I’m with @Bambino regardless of what the website says o2 don’t employ a live stock system so it maybe out of stock especially around this time of year
