Mobile data connection

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

My mobile data does not work whenever I am at work. It says I have 4G connection but cannot use the internet, any apps or iMessage. There is no wifi available and my messages sometimes take hours to come through if they even come through at all.

What can I do to solve this?

thanks

Not much you can do if you can't get wifi.
Internal mobile signals can really vary and be problematic.
Try some of the advice here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Do-you-have-poor-coverage-signal-Indoors-T...

If you have mobile signal (you can call and/or text) then you should be able to use the internet.
If you cannot call or text either then you don't have signal.

@Anonymous Aside from yourself at work, does anyone else have problems getting a signal? Do people on other networks have the same problem? As well as taking a look at the link provided by @MI5 above, check your postcode using this link: http://status.o2.co.uk/

It may also be that the particular building you're in doesn't get good mobile signals. Not much you can do about that.:smileysad:

Sounds to me like the wrong data package and apn. Change the apn to mobile.o2.co.uk for a temporary fix but once you have call customer service and ask if you have the idata bolt on.
If you already have that bolt on, text ACTIVE to 2020. Reboot the phone to see if it's ok

Just for info, either apn works normally for data whilst in uk.
It’s only when roaming that it fails.
