Minus Balance Brought Forward

I received my monthly bill and it's saying the balance is £16.50 which is strange because my usual bills are around £40 mark. When I went into the breakdown it says 'balance brought forward -£30.80'.

I'm not sure what that means? Do I only owe £16 or do I owe £30+16=£46? I'm confused as to why I have a minus balance brought forward anyway. I pay monthly by direct debit and although I've never missed a payment I've never paid extra either?

Any help would be great!

It will be an adjustment for your previous account, it would have been done automatically by the system when changing over.

Even if the customer hadn't linked their accounts? They said they've treat it as a new account, different number and so on..

Mind u, if I think of it turned on its head. Say someone left owing a balance, then opened a new contract. I'll bet o2 would definitely add the owing balance into their new contract.

Hah answered my own question!

Nothing to pay. You are £207 in credit.
