@Michellecooper1 Please see this link: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Lost-or-Stolen-O2-Device-How-to-Report-it/ba-p/1023988

You must report your stolen phone asap both to O2 and the police and get a crime number. As you have no insurance, you will have to buy a new phone. The sim that's currently in your phone will be blocked, and O2 will issue you with a new sim that you will be able to use to continue your contract.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

First off have a read through this thread :

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Lost-or-Stolen-O2-Device-How-to-Report-it/ba-p/1023988

You need to call O2 immediately so they can block the sim and the phone in the first 24 hours, otherwise you could be hit with charges for any usage on the phone until its reported. Within the first 24 hours you are limited for any charges up to a maximum £100 so the sooner the better to cut the risk to a minimum.

You also need to report the theft to the police and get a crime reference number.

I know you have no insurance but check bank accounts, if you pay a monthly fee you may have cover.

Home insurance is a good place to check too as a decent policy could insure personal items.

Apart from that there is little else you can do  You can use your sim in any O2 or unlocked phone as customer service will send you another sim with your number on although you will need to call them to get the bar lifted. You will still be expected to carry on passionflower both the handset and airtime plans unfortunately.

Most people or their friends have a spare phone in a drawer or a good friend or relative may help you out

The lost/stolen are open 24 hours but you need to wait until the end of the 2 minutes of boring ways intending you to fall asleep!
