Living in Guernsey

I do not understand why I am charged for making calls in Guernsey - I have a bolt on - I can use my phone in Europe and England.  I have had my account for over 20 years!

Guernsey and Jersey and Isle of Man numbers are exceptions:

Calls made whilst on Guernsey should be free for monthly contracts but chargeable if on PAYG https://www.o2.co.uk/international/using-your-phone-abroad

First Gurnsey is not part of the UK or the EU so is not covered by Roam like Home agreements 

Normally Contract customers can use their phone there but there is a fair usage limit of 63 days before they may charge as it is intended for tourist and business trips

much more expensive on the island than O2 as no competition
