Iphone6 upgrade

Contract expired and due an upgrade. Missed loads of calls from 02 on 0845 number. Like an iPhone 6 but online tariffs pricey. Mobile.co.uk and Carphone warehouse both cheaper. Will 02 be flexible or do just go else re?

It depends whether you want a Refresh contract. O2 are the only ones who do that...

Otherwise the independents tend to work out cheaper...

From what I understand O2 wont price match...

Don't "assume" the 0845 number was o2 either....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Cheers, refresh doesn't really interest me. If I understand it allows me a new handset if I pay off what I owe. Refresh is already more pricey than other tariffs. So unlikely

Whatever you do don't upgrade from an incoming call.otherwise you could end up with a business contract frrom the likes of Aerial or Airtime Solutions.

Speak to retentions on 202 and if they don't give you a deal you want then shop around.

Don't waste your money calling those numbers back. Go with your first instinct of CPW or mobiles.co.uk if you're not interested in a Refresh tariff.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

My most recent upgrade was a price match against carphone warehouse in that they waived an upfront fee for the phone and ended up paying the same monthly amount as cpw and an extra gig of data. I just called 202 and got a great deal so I would try that first. If not, even try a few times as different people might dig deeper to get a better deal or price match. I was actually quite shocked at how good a contract I got!

That is good news. Certainly shows the power of getting a good advisor who is allowed to make those sort of decisions wink

I too was offered a good deal by retentions. It goes to show that it is a matter of who you speak to and the way you approach it.
