I have been waiting now for half an hour to talk to O2 customer service and there's no sign that I'm anywhere near the front of the queue. Frightful 'music' is blasting my eardrums while I wait. Why is a =telephone= company so inefficient that it can't answer its own telephone? To make matters worse, it seems to be impossible even to send an email to O2 now (there used to be a webmail address).
It's enough to make me abandon O2 and look for a mobile network that is more interested in its customers' interests. Or does anyone know of a backdoor way to speak to an O2 person or to email O2 -- and be reasonably sure of getting a reply?

Yep I too have been waiting for over 20mins then had a meeting to go to so I’m now on the "your call is in a queue" loop with the same terrible music - I wonder if I was upgrading or buying a new contract my call would be answered a lot quicker - this is not a professional service - On line help is off line it says come back between 7am and 11 pm it’s now 11:47am so that can’t be right !!!! Getting frustrated and angry and expected more from O2

It may be wise to follow up with a registered letter to O2 just to be on the safe side and have written proof of the cancellation. Address in contact link.

I have been trying to contact 02 on the phone for a week now, try at different times of day and still the same, no reply! I leave the phone playing the dreadful music for up to half an hour. The reason I am calling is because my phone does not recieve calls consitantly, sometimes it is fine other times I get a text from 02 saying I have missed a call, but no missed call on my phone, the only way to listen to voicemails is to dial 1 I can not listen through the iphone voicemail, very frustrating!
