Hi

I have switched from Virgin and gave O2 my PAC code when I purchased my pay monthly SIM. I have activated my SIM but my number hasn't ported. How long does it take and how do I know if there's a problem? Thanks.

When submitting your PAC https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number you should receive a text to your old number confirming a changeover date.

If you did not receive a text, chase it up with O2.

Advice from an O2 Guru to get through:
If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.

@Daffyduck2020 Your Virgin sim will lose service when the number begins to port. How long ago did you give O2 your PAC?

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I gave O2 my PAC code yesterday, received my new sim today and according to the website it only takes a day to transfer the number. As poster above has mentioned, I didn't receive a text confirming a changeover date.

Thank you so much for the quick replies and support. I submitted the PAC form again (using the link above) and have just received a text confirming my port date for tomorrow.
