GPRS help

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello. Iv asked a O2 guru this question before and got no help..
I don't get any GPRS signal at all. I can only use iMessage and any apps when I'm connected to wifi!
It never used to be this bad.
When out and about I have to turn cellular data off, so that those who iMessage me, have to send a text so that I receive it. Then connected to wifi.. I'll probably receive their iMessages about 3 days later!!
It's really getting me down now and I'm fed up! Please can someone suggest any explanation before I lose the plot...
Thank you...

Hi

Self help thread here http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-and-Pay-Go/Self-help-guide-Is-the-network-down-for-me-or-ev...

And try cleaning or replacing your SIM card at an O2 shop.

Try your sim in another phone if possible as a process of elimination.

You may need to have your phone checked out by the manufacturer.

Edit to add link.

Not much you can do if there is no data signal in your area.
Does the service status show that you "should" get data services....?

It may also be worth poping into your nearest Apple store and getting them to check the phone is working OK for you.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Does this happen at home and local only or everywhere ?

Download the MYNETWORK App to report local masts. Ask people also on o2 in your area if they have similar issues and ask them to report them too.
