Could somebody please explain what this actually means in more detail?

Does it mean I am able access any 4G networks even on my 3G SIM?

or

Does it just mean I should have local access to a 4G network providing I use a 4G SIM at the same as my current cost until the end of this contract?

O2 Chat weren't very explanitive.

That's chat for you.

To utilise a 4G Tariff and bolt on for data.

One needs ;

A 4G phone that works on o2's band frequency.
A 4G SIM card.
A 4G Tariff.
To be in a 4G catchment area.

All 3g accounts are been upgraded to receive 4g free of charge but you will need a new 4g sim for it to work.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for the quick replies....

I don't even know if the O2 guy even knew what I was talking about.  Recently I received a text saying I was being upgraded to 4G, however I can see one caveat with that - 750MB is not a lot of bandwidth for 4G.

So I might as well wait until the end of the contract until I change.
