Hi so long story short. Thought i was taking out a new iphone 11 contract with a company called Mobiles.co.uk. £40 a month. Got sent 4x iphone XS through the post. Rang the company and turns out they made a "mistake" and to send them back to there warehouse.

Sent the phones back and not heard from the company since. Done a little digging and found other people on facebook that have had the same thing happen to them and its all a big scam. They have setup 4 x £75 a month phone contracts in my name so £300 a month and had away with the phones.

Rang the bank and had all direct debits stopped, Action fraud notified and have a crime ref No.

Rang 02 and told to wait 10 working days till the Fraud department ring me back.

1 month later im still waiting for a phone call from 02, Sent the fraud department an email ast week with everything going off with corona virus they wasnt in the office anymore. Still no reply. I have now started to recieve letters from O2 threatening with Debt collection agency.

Not sure what more i can do and how long it takes the Fraud department to get in touch with me? Anyone else had this happen to them?

Thanks

Seems that way just dont want any visitors round the house asking for X amount for phones taken out in my name. Cant imagine its doing my credit rating any good at all either. Any ideas how long it takes for a reply from the fraud department? I understand everything will be taking alot longer with the virus outbreak, but just some sort of acknowledgment would put my mind at ease slighty

cheers

You could always try putting a complaint in so that at least it is acknowledged?

@Richo123 mobiles.co.uk are a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse. Are you sure the request to return the phones came from them? Have you reported your issue here: https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Unfortunately the scammers where going by this company name. I rang the legitamate mobiles.co.uk up and complained and they told me its happened quite a few times and someone else was using there name. Thats when i started to dig deeper and found articles about it and knew i had been done.
