I've ordered a new Sim advertised as £25 a month. It has not yet arrived but i have recieved a bill stating I'm being charged from today and the bill is £27.50.
so is not going well. Being charged more than I signed up for and for an item I dont yet have.

Your first bill may be higher than you're expecting because it will be pro-rated. This means you'll be charged for one month's line rental as well as the first few days where they are setting up your account.

If you call customer service they will refund for the days waiting for the SIM.

That one is fine. The first one came up with extra letters at the end i.e.

Once I removed those and refreshed the page, it was fine. (No idea what happened?!)
Edited to add, just tried the first link again and it still comes up with an error with those extra letters.
Your second link is fine.
