Do I get charged for receiving or sending emoji via sms?

No charge for receiving

If the text converts to MMS then there will be a charge of 65p when sending

So there is a 65p charge for every emoji? I’m not talking about mms.

I have had people send emoji’s but I dare not send back incase. Avoiding sending simple emoji’s 😊 < like.
