Have I got it right that O2 charges for adding smileys or emoji? Know when you send animated you are charged but the smileys!!

If both are on Android then RCS (Chat Messages) is the way forward.

 

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
