Early termination of contract? How does it work?

Anonymous
Not applicable

As per title, I have stumbled across a good pay monthly deal recently and was thinking to sell my current phone off and get a new phone deal and it works out well worth the price even if I have to pay off 2 contracts at the same time.

However, I don't want to get a new number, so was wondering whether it's possible to terminate my contract by settling the remaining payments and receive a PAC code?

(8.3 If this Agreement is ended during any Minimum Period, you must pay us a fee of no more than each of the Monthly Subscription Charges up to the end of that Minimum Period. If you pay us the fee of no more than each of the Monthly Subscription Charges up to the end of that Minimum Period in a single payment, we may reduce the amount due by a rate determined by us. Details of how we calculate how much will be due if you end the Agreement during your Minimum Period can be found on our Website. This doesn’t apply if you end the Agreement for the one of reasons in paragraph 8.4 below.)

According to the T&C, I may only need to pay a reduced amount in a single bill? Anyone knows how is that calculated?

As far as I am aware you just pay off your remaining months of your contract.  Not sure how the reduced amount is calculated, you are prob best to call Customer Care.

If your considering being viable to pay both bills you can request a new number for your current contract and a PAC for the number you want to keep to transfere it.

Pickles is correct only CS can tell you if you'd be entitled to a discounted termination fee.

Call 202 from your mobile:)
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

O2 will charge you your monthly tariff fee x how many months left on contract, you can drop down 1 tariff and cancel any bolts on to save a few pounds then see if 02 will give you a discount on termination fee slight_smile
