Does 4G give better call quality?

Anonymous

Hi, this may be a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway wink

I know 4G is all about better data speeds, but do you get better call quality on a 4G connection, or does it not make any difference?

Indoors, my call quality isn't very good as my signal bounces between 2G and 3G as I'm on the edge of a 3G enabled area.  I'm right in the middle of a 4G area though, so was just wondering if that would make any difference to call quality.

Thanks.

It will happen and I would think it's not too far away with the rate O2 are progressing with their 4g network

I'm not sure if O2 have been testing it (I have a suspicion they have) but VOLTE (Voice Over LTE) is running in some countries already....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

VOLTE sounds interesting.  I presume you'd get Skype style call quality.

That would be a definate added bonus for 4G.
