Direct Debit

My direct debit of 59.02 was due 8/10/12. I paid 14.02 last week to get my balance down to £45 so it came as a surprise that the whole amount had been taken out today. Is this meant to happen?!

If the payment you made isn't within about 10 days or so before the due date then the full amount would be taken.

So you should now be in credit and a lower amount taken next month.

I hope that helps, it's hard to stop a direct debit going out without a bit more notice.
