You would expect this from a low-end consumer product not a high-end smart telephone? Don't they even test these things?

I'm sure all manufacturers do.
I believe that when a person also upgrades to 4G they spend longer online as more can be done faster and with screen quality continuously increasing end users also typically stream a lot more. Same concept with 3G but not as fast.
