Data usage / tariff change

Hi,

I have been on a pay monthly for ages with 2gb data allowance which I very rarely used.

I changed to a sim contract today with data allowance of 30gb. Within a few hours I have used over 2gb of data, more than I usually use in a month.

 

Any ideas how this could be?

How are you concluding your data usage?

If from your MyO2, does it tally with what your phone is reporting?

No idea what that means. I am checking usage in my O2 as I always do so direct comparison?

Your phone has a setting that tells you how much data has been used each day, however, your data allowance showing in your MyO2 will be pro rata for the first month whilst the change goes through the system.

Thanks for your help. Doesn't give me daily data but I will see how it goes..

Just a bit worried I've wasted my time changing the tariff

Go into settings >data use and you can adjust the settings to display usage between certain dates or by day @cherrymac1973
